BOB FRIEDHOFFER

 ___________________________________________________________________

BROOKLYN COLLEGE

Department of Physics

To whom it may concern:

I am writing to express my appreciation for the participation of Bob Friedhoffer in the Action Physics Program. Action Physics Is a three-year project, funded by the National Science Foundation, designed  to train junior high school and middle school teachers in the basic concepts of physics and to help them develop activities that will be effective in teaching these concepts to their students

During the first year of the project we invited Bob to speak to our group of teachers. He gave a very informative and entertaining demonstration of “magic tricks” based on physical principles, accompanied by clear explanations of both the performance techniques and the underlying physics. As a result  many of our teachers were able to perform these tricks for their own students with great success. We invited him back for our second year for an equally successful demonstration.

Mr. Friedhoffer’s knowledge of both science and magic provides him with unique skills. He has made a rather significant contribution to the success of our project. It was a pleasure to work with him.

Sincerely yours,
